Exodus 20:14

The seventh commandment, “You shall not commit adultery,” reminds us that, because of sin, we all have desires that are bent and disordered, and that our permissive culture continually encourages us to indulge them. But God’s command is not merely a restriction; it is for our protection. God is after our whole heart. He is calling us not to defile ourselves because He knows the poison it brings into our lives and relationships.
