Exodus 20:12

Our sinful nature and today’s culture tell us that authority is something to be questioned, and when necessary, rebelled against. But as we see in Exodus, the call to honor our father and our mother presents us with something different. We see that it is the duty of a Christian to respect and obey our parents, and when necessary, provide for them. And when we do this, we catch a foretaste of what will fully come.
