Many times, humanity tries to worship mammon as an idol because it offers a sense of wealth, power, and virility. Once again, Pharaoh remains stubborn and refuses to repent. God then uses another plague to bring judgment on their idolatry. God destroys the Egyptian livestock, devastating their economy and undermining Pharaoh’s sense of virility and power derived from his wealth.
