Exodus 12:1-28

If God commanded the Israelites to observe the Passover forever, why do Christians today instead observe the Lord’s Supper? Because through Christ’s death on the cross, Jesus fulfilled the old covenant and established the new covenant. The Passover was a foretaste of Christ, and the Lord’s Supper helps us remember His finished work on the cross. In observing it, we remember the gospel and our salvation, and we proclaim and pass that gospel to the next generation.
